π₯ Players tab
Everyone on your server, and the buttons to deal with them - warn, kick, ban, swap teams - plus one-click and automatic team balancing.

The player list
One row per player: ID, Name, Team, Class, Kills, Deaths, Ping. It refreshes by itself every 5 seconds. Click a row to select a player - every button below acts on the selected player.
Admin Actions
Select a player first. These act straight away - there is no "are you sure".
| Button | What it does |
|---|---|
| Warn | Says "WARNING to (name): (your message)" in game chat, where everybody can see it. Type your message in the Message box first; leave it empty and it says "You have been warned!". |
| Punt (Kick) | Kicks the player, then tells the server "(name) has been kicked". They can rejoin. |
| Ban | From WolfRAT 2.6.8: adds the player's name and IP to the Bans tab list, kicks them, and tells the server "(name) has been banned". They are kicked again within seconds every time they come back. (Joint Ops' own ban is no longer used - it bans by a CD-key number nobody has any more.) |
| Kill | Kills the player. They respawn as normal. |
| Swap Team | Moves the player to the other team and announces it in chat. |
| Zero Score | Resets the player's score to zero. |
The Message box is only used by Warn. The game has no way to send a reason along with a kick, so say your piece with a warning first if you want them to know why. Bans made from the Bans tab can carry a reason and an expiry.
WolfRAT checks afterwards that the server really did it (the player actually left, the team actually changed). If something fails, the reason is in the Console.
Team Balance
The line above the buttons counts both teams for you, for example "Joint Ops: 5 players (42 kills) | Rebels: 4 players (37 kills)". It adds a red UNBALANCED when one team is more than one player bigger, or more than ten kills ahead.
- Balance Teams - moves randomly chosen players off the bigger team until the numbers are even. Asks you to confirm first.
- Mix Teams - deals everybody into two new random teams (within one player of each other) and moves only the players whose team changes, so even teams really get mixed instead of just trading sides (2.9.8). Announces it in chat and finishes with "Teams shuffled! Good luck all." A 1v1 can't be mixed, so it says so. Asks you to confirm first.
- Refresh - fetches the player list right now.
Players who are moved by Balance or Mix are killed so that they respawn at their new team's base. That is deliberate - otherwise they would be standing in the enemy's spawn. From 2.9.8 they are killed before they are moved: killed after, the server counted it as a team kill for whoever last shot them, and enough of those got that player kicked.
Your moderators can do most of this from inside the game with chat commands like !kick and !balanceteams - see the Mods tab.
On a co-op map the other team is the bots, so Balance and Mix explain that and do nothing, and Swap Team asks "swap anyway?" first. You can turn that off on the Chat Bot tab (from WolfRAT 2.8.0).
Automatic balance (2.8.0)
Under the buttons, Automatic lets WolfRAT keep the teams even for you. Pick one:
- Off - nothing automatic (this is where it starts).
- Joint Ops' own - switches on the game's built-in balance. It only moves people as each new map starts, never during a round.
- WolfRAT - balances during the round, and asks for volunteers first.
With WolfRAT chosen, and "when a team has 2 more players" (you can raise that):
- When one team has been that much bigger for about 20 seconds, the server says so in chat and gives 30 seconds warning: "Balancing in 30s - Joint Ops players type !1 to volunteer".
- Players on the bigger team can type
!1to volunteer. WolfRAT thanks each one in chat. - When the time is up it moves the players needed - volunteers first, picked at random, then random players from the rest of that team - and says who moved, for example "Moved to Rebels: Dale, Ham".
- If the teams even out by themselves during the 30 seconds, it says so and cancels. After a balance it waits two minutes before looking again.
Nobody is exempt - if you switch it on, it applies to everyone. It pauses during the end-of-match map vote (so !1 never means two things), on co-op maps and in games without teams. !switch still works as normal. The line under the drop-down shows what it is doing right now.
